Stewart Gordon is Professor of Keyboard Studies at the Thornton School of Music of the University of Southern California, as well as an adjunct professor at the Claremont Graduate University. A Steinway Artist, he has toured extensively in North America, Europe, and Asia. He founded the (now) William Kapell International Piano Competition and served as its director for fifteen years. He has authored many books and materials for pianists and teachers, including the video Memorization in Piano Performance (Alfred). His newest book, Guide for Tomorrow’s Pianists, is currently in production at Oxford University Press.
