Liu Ye is a music writer, translator, pianist, and piano teacher. Currently, she is the guest editor for Piano Artistry (the only piano magazine in China), and she has
interviewed many celebrated international pianists. She won the thirteenth Hong Kong (Asia) Piano Open Competition (Class 25). Liu Ye holds a B.A. degree in piano pedagogy from China Central University for Nationalities and an M.M. degree in Piano Performance from the City University of New York Brooklyn College, where she studied piano with Ursula Oppens. She has also studied with Jeffrey Biegel, Andre Gribou, Yafen Zhu, and Tingge Wei.
