Angélica Sánchez, Ecuadorian, has a broad career as a soloist, researcher and teacher. As a soloist she is a specialist in Ecuadorian piano music, which has been performed in many festivals and concerts as Austria, the United States, Shanghai, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Also, Sánchez has recorded two Ecuadorian music albums: "Remembranzas Ecuatorianas" and "Siluetas de mi Raza". In the second music album, Sánchez recorded for first time works by the Ecuadorian composer Corsino Durán.

Regarding her activity as a researcher, she had implemented the Group Piano Laboratory for first time at the University of Cuenca, as well she has developed several articles related to methods and strategies for piano teaching. Her recent publications include her book "El piano: técnica, repertorio e improvisación para principiante". Similarly, she has conducted workshops as well as conferences for teachers.
