Allan Evans teaches at Mannes College, The New School for Music in New York, and is a co-director of the Scuola Italiana delGreenwich Village. He is the author of Ignaz Friedman: Romantic Master Pianist, and the editor of Moriz Rosenthal in Word and Music: A Legacy of the Nineteenth Century. A founder of Arbiter Records, he has produced more than 200 recordings and has a blog at www.arbiterrecords.org.
